The studio, which has completed service work on films like Scarygirl and The Sloth Lane, is providing end-to-end animation services for the cg-made Bluey movie, which is being produced in partnership with Ludo Studio, BBC Studios, and The Walt Disney Company.

Cosmic Dino’s new facilities includes a 40-seater 4K HDR cinema for reviews, creatively-inspired edit suites, and an expansive open-plan office dedicated to collaboration between directors, artists, and producers. Founded by Spanish-Australian director Ricard Cussó and producer/screenwriter Ryan Greaves, Cosmic Dino also recently signed with Alison Mann’s Fourth Wall Animation and Strawn Dixon at United Talent Agency for international representation of the studio. Cosmic Dino also recently wrapped up animation service owrk on The Pout-Pout Fish, which is set for theatrical release in various countries later this year.

While much of the studio’s work has been focused on the Australian market, the Bluey movie will elevate Cosmic Dino’s international profile as a full-service cg animation studio. “The driving force behind Cosmic Dino is our unwavering passion to collaborate with visionary creatives and studios, to take their projects to infinity & beyond,” Cussó and Greaves said in a statement. They added that with their new facilities and the creative talent they’ve assembled, Cosmic Dino is ready to launch “full throttle into the U.S. market.”
